Mechanical systems supporting our life, such as a "manufacturing system" and a "traffic system", are designed, and how to manage efficiently simultaneously is studied.
Students in the Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering build on existing foundations in mechanical engineering to study a broad range of subjects, including robotics, information engineering, and control engineering, and learn to create clever machines through the combination of machines, sensors, computers. They also study systems engineering as well as planning and control technologies to learn about the efficient management of large-scale systems, such as industrial and transportation systems.
Campus
- Shinjuku- first and second years
- Hachioji- third and fourth years
- Depending on a laboratory, the laboratory at the time of a fourth grader may be the Hachioji campus.
